Electric vehicles sure have made it big these past few years. And with more manufacturers getting into this line of vehicles (after all, it’s clean and practical), we can all expect more green rides for us all to drive!
And one of the first firms that made it big in these types of vehicles is a company straight out of amazing South Korea, the CT&T United Cars group. And although the brand didn’t exactly fly, this manufacturer did leave its mark and made a lasting impression on why an EV is the car of the future.
Dreaming it Big
Founded by an ex-Hyundai executive, CT&T United Cars initially aimed for South Korean electric vehicles to be manufactured in the US. The proposed development was supposed to happen during the late 2000’s. However, business pivots and administration changes didn’t allow this dream to happen – a pity, considering not only the colorful lineup of vehicles, but of the thousands of jobs lost because of the changes.
Still, CT&T United Cars proved to the world what would happen today – EVs are the future, and definitely should be supported by all!
Excellent Models from the CT&T United Cars
Here are some of the really nice cars that could have made it big if CT&T United Cars pushed through:
The eZONE made its mark during the exciting 2008 Olympics in China, showcasing the great benefits of what an all-electric car can present for the public. Economical and with no hazard to the environment as well, the eZONE does have some really nice stats to it.
Powered by a Li-Polymer battery, the eZONE takes drives further – a single charge of this amazing battery has a maximum range of 100 km.
And aside from being a practical ride, the eZONE also makes sure that motorists get some extra bling by being an attractive ride. This EV, surprisingly for its size, has a spacious interior. The dash is sleek and beautiful and the seats have some amazing upholstery.
Infotainment was cutting-edge for its time, considering that a CD audio system is included in this small car. Also, this EV has an air conditioning unit for some relaxing rides.
Safety is excellent as well with the eZONE. This EV is actually the first of its kind to pass International Safety Standards – a landmark that paved the way towards electric vehicle acceptance. A sturdy aluminum frame, independent disk brake systems, and an impressive suspension system truly makes this a safe car to be in!
A slight improvement from the first release, the CT&T eZONE Plus is a 2-seater wonder vehicle perfect for road trip thrills around the block. This EV has a range of 75 miles and is capable of going up to 45 mph.
Named mainly for usage in tropical climates, this laid-back EV brings some fresh and relaxing driving performance for everyone to enjoy.
CT&T United Cars also made their own variant of a police vehicle to help law enforcement see the many benefits of why these cars can help in cases and the like. Small enough to fit the tightest corners yet able enough to chase down criminals, this is one amazing ride that helped in letting the public know how important EVs are.
The brand also ventured in creating EVs for commercial usage. The electronic van that the brand created was spacious enough for light deliveries and cargo. In a way, this can be considered as a gateway vehicle for business owners to see how beneficial electric vehicles are for their firms – by taking away the gasoline expense, more savings are assured!
The cZONE was considered to be a utility vehicle that made waves as an electric golf car. But outside its impact in the greens, the cZONE also served as a solid resort vehicle, factory loader, farm vehicle, and school transport.
Versatile as shown in its many variants, the cZONE proves that the sky’s the limit when it comes to EVs. This car has a reliable battery that will not break down when you need it the most. The cZONE also has excellent climbing capabilities for safe and secure travels on rolling hills. Hydraulic brakes that power the EV’s wheels also give both driver and passengers the peace of mind they deserve when on the road. Additionally, the cZONE also comes with both heating and cooling seat enhancements, for the convenience and comfort everyone needs to have during trips.
The cZONE golf car variant also does come with its own set of features and enhancements. To help load golfing gear and other equipment, this cZONE variant has a plastic case, aluminum deck and club rack available. This cZONE model is also equipped with a supersonic sensor and receiver to keep tabs with other carts on the green.

May Be a Case of Wrong Timing
CT&T may be an example of having a great product or vehicle released during a wrong period of time. It may probably be the world wasn’t ready to accept EVs when this brand released its line of amazing rides. Nevertheless, CT&T made a mark on the automobile industry, not only by being an Asian brand to venture in this line of work, but by also citing the importance of electric and renewable energy vehicles for all.
