Who says humans are the only ones who can be sexy? Cars could be as well. You know that hot ride with an intermediate size and an overall sports car look? That’s a muscle car, my friend.

History

Muscle cars were inspired from motorsports racing in the midst of ’40s. Since motorsports is a booming sport during the century, it was also believed that muscle cars could also be a big thing. Then came the ’50s, the classic era and the period when muscle cars were produced in the market. It was the time of post-World War II. It is a perfect timing for people to realize the need for speed cars.

Shelby 1000, Brabus Bullit, Ford Galaxie 427 SOHC, Ford Fairlane Thundebolt, Dodge Hemi Dart, Dodge Cornet W051 Superstock, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Quick Gran Sport Stage 1, Ford Falcon GTHO, and Chevrolet Nova SS are considered the fastest muscle cars ever made since its discovery. These rides can reach up to 950 horsepower and up to V12 engine. These facts were stated by the daily automobile news magazine, Jalopnik.

Features

Muscle cars are famous speed cars but these aren’t just known as fast rides. These are also recognized as lightweight mobiles with sports car features of low center gravity and fast gearboxes. It could sometimes be powered with V8 engine, which could run up to 60 mph. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS, 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, and 2016 Ford Mustang GT are just some of the models having this speed.

Conclusion

Muscle cars are speed cars of this generation. Car companies have created various speed cars that could produce up to 950 horsepower with V12 engine. However, recent muscle cars still obtain a V8 engine that could run up to 500 horsepower. I guess too much speed will kill you, so driving muscle cars should be in moderation and in total safety.
