Experience what German motoring ingenuity is with this amazing car brand. The Artega Car brand takes pride in its excellent manufacturing and marketing motoring prowess, bringing only the best cars out in the fold.
Birth, Demise, Legacy
Klaus Dieter Frers, an innovative mechanical engineer, always wanted to contribute in creating amazing automobiles for the motoring industry. As early during the 80s, Frers launched several electronic modular companies that created components for automobiles.
More than a decade later, Frers took the chance to get into the automobile industry. Launching Artega in 2006, the brand then created exciting sports cars that balanced style and performance.
Come 2010, the brand was acquired by Tresalia Capital, a Mexican Investment firm. However, 2012 signalled the brand to file for bankruptcy.
Death was just temporary for Artega, though. The company that Frers’ opened during the 80s, paragon AG, acquired Artega. This placed Frers back in control, driving Artega to gain more landmarks.
Artega Car Models that Make a Difference
Check out some of the best models that this car brand has released throughout the years:
The car that showed the world how awesome the Artega Car brand is. The Artega GT. a rear wheel drive sports car, was the first brand out of this automobile company. More than its excellent styling (interior and exterior design are both outstanding), the Artega GT has the power to match (and even excel over) other cars in its vehicular category.
This car’s claim to fame was when acclaimed GTsprit tested it. Claiming that the Artega Gt has no flaws whatsoever, only boosted sales of the car and placed Artega as a truly innovative and powerful brand.
In terms of technical aspects, the Artega GT makes use of quality and high-end materials for its body. Stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber reinforces its frame, assuring a lightweight yet tough and safe shell. The Artega GT is powered by an excellent VR6 direct-injection engine. It has a top speed of 270 km/h, and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
Showcasing the very best elements of the Artega GT, the SE does bring something nice and innovative to the plate with the integration of an electric motor. Essentially the same construction and frame are shared by the two vehicles. The only difference would be on how each car is powered, with the Artega SE integrating the use of two electric engines! The pair of engines do make the Artega SE than the GT – but acceleration and power management are both enhanced in this electric sports car!

Some nice and tech-savvy enhancements found in the Artega SE would be the awesome multi-function steering wheel. In terms of power output, the pair of electric motors in this car can generate an impressive output of 375 HP.
Considered to be the direct successor of the Artega GT, the Scalo is a refined sports car combined with the efficient power scale of an electric motor. Released in 2015, this car incorporates an aerospace dynamic into its style and performance!
At an outstanding power generation of 37 kWh (411 volts), the Artega Scalo can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds. Charging the electric battery is fast and easy as well – a full charge can be done in just less than an hour. This car’s energy storage is also of a high caliber: composed of lithium-ion batteries, energy is properly stored and distributed in the vehicle!
Speed isn’t always everything when it comes to motoring ingenuity. Artega emphasized this with their release of the innovative and appealing Karo – an ATV type that harkens the iconic look of classic bubble cars during the 50s. And given the brand’s expertise in both style and performance, the Artega Karo does present itself elegantly – by being nature-conscious as well!
With a design that is both functional and stylish, the Artega Karo promotes and enhances urban mobility. This car is outfitted with a Range battery to go from a range of 125 km to 200 km (comparison of Range and Range Plus batteries).
Also, the Artega Karo’s small and mobile frame does hide a rather big surprise: it’s interior isn’t that cramped as it looks like. Able to sit two adults comfortably, this car can also fit some luggage for a practical and efficient grocery run (or other forms of city driving!). Acceleration is also impressive, with the Artega Karo able to go from 0 to 50 km/h in just 5 seconds.
Enhancing the Artega Scalo to a whole new level is the amazing Scalo Superelletra. Making its debut 2 years after the original Artega Scalo’s launch, this impressive super sports car brought out all the best motoring enhancements in the industry during those times, particularly with its inclusion of high-end electric motors. What’s more is that the batteries of this car store and manage power efficiently – this gives you the peace of mind that you’re on the go in this ride!
Additionally, the Scalo Superelletra finetunes its overall specs by making its construction lighter. This is impressive, considering that even with the inclusion of more motors, the brand still managed to take off weight from the vehicle!
Acceleration, like other Artega models, is excellent in the Scalo Superelletra. It just takes 2.7 seconds for the Scalo Superelletra to go from 0 to 62 mph – an impressive feat considering that this is an electric car.
Style, of course, is the best as it is in the motoring industry. Its aesthetics do look really similar to some of the best supercars in history – and with it being an electric vehicle, it truly is a delight that Artega makes cars like this one possible!
The Artega Car Company: Making the Most in the Automobile Industry
In what may be the end for some, the company rose from the ashes and continued creating amazing rides for everyone. The grit and resilience that this brand showcases can be seen on its vehicles – expect only the high-performance, sustainable, and stylish cars from Artega!
